One of those laws banned commonly and legally owned firearms without serial numbers, such as homemade guns. Since NJ also considers BB/pellet guns as firearms, it even would’ve banned those too. The NJ AG issued guidance to law enforcement at the 11th hour not to apply the law to BB guns and also clarified some other points.
