Many people naively think that gun rights and the 2nd Amendment are a singular issue. The truth is that every part of the extreme left agenda is connected to guns in one way or another. Charlie Cook, host of Riding Shotgun with Charlie, gives us some enraging, but not surprising, news that involves Massachusetts, the migrant crisis, and your God-given right to an armed defense.

If you’ve been resentful about the onerous requirements to obtain a NJ Permit to Carry a Handgun and just outraged about New Jersey’s tiered citizenry levels, be prepared for a good laugh. Police Officers in the state of New Jersey, some, but certainly not all, maybe even a minority, look down on law-abiding gun owners and don’t consider us equal or trustworthy when it comes to the responsibility of carrying and possibly being called on to use firearms in defense of self or others. They’re getting a taste of what us peasants have to deal with in regards to “licensing.”

Recent events, like the one that claimed the life of Laken Riley at the hands of an illegal immigrant, have women thinking about their safety. A variety of advice is being offered and some of it is just downright dangerous.

Sometimes, we don’t realize that the message we convey to others might influence their future decisions. We’ve all seen that guy at the range with the experience and the cool gear that condescends the newbs or the guys that aren’t deeply involved in the 2A movement. We’ve also seen the guy that is a true expert and has no ego and loves to help and encourage those who need guidance and advice. Which do you want to be?

As an average guy that has attended SHOT Show in the past, I can’t wait to get to the next one. It is a paradise of freedom and firearms and for just a moment, I forget that I live in New Jersey.

I’m just an average guy who loves firearms and the 2nd Amendment. I’ve started to get involved in the activism all too necessary to defend our 2nd Amendment Rights for us and for generations to come. It’s amazing to me how many of New Jersey’s one million gun owners are completely unaware of the winnable battles raging in the courts right now. We need to spread awareness as best we can.
