Tennessee now joins the majority of states which now have laws on the books that allow educators to carry concealed firearms for the protection of the children. There’s now more than 30 states that allow armed faculty in schools.

Like a handful of other states, Tennessee values the privacy of its citizens. The recently-enacted “Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act” prevents financial institutions from creating merchant codes specific to gun shops that can be used to track firearm purchases differently than other types of retail sales.

If you thought the recent “Spirit of Aloha” ruling out of Hawaii was funny, check out this recent ruling by Washington State Supreme Court Commissioner, Michael Johnston. The musings and ramblings throughout his 47-page opinion completely disregard both Bruen and Heller and make Washington’s ban on so-called “Large Capacity Magazines” permanent.

Rule after rule after rule. Biden’s weaponized ATF has done quite a bit of acting outside of it’s own authority as of late. Now SCOTUS will weigh in.

Colorado, with its left-leaning legislature, is trying to pass new gun controls. The House just passed a bill to ban many commonly-owned and used semi-auto rifles and even some handguns with specific characteristics. Will the governor sign it if it reaches his desk?

A new bill has been introduced in Tennessee to provide school children with firearms safety training. Many think this bill is a very responsible way to make our children safer while some would prefer their children don’t even know that guns exist.

Here’s another one to add to the list of rules implemented by the Biden Administration’s weaponized ATF. We doubt it will take long for this rule to be challenged in court.

Tennessee is well on its way to joining the majority of states that employ sensible measures to protect students from those who seek to commit mass carnage in schools. The Senate has just passed a bill to allow the arming of teachers. It now heads to the House for a vote.

It’s as if the Court Commissioner knew how the judge would rule and had the immediate stay of such ruling all queued up. At News2A, we’ve never heard of a “Court Commissioner” being able to overrule a judge. Live and learn.

You might be surprised to learn that, despite being considered a “free” state, Tennessee law presumes a person to be guilty of a crime for carrying a firearm in public. One assemblyman hopes to change that.
