🚨 SITTING DUCK - An NYC Bodega Owner was SHOT & KILLED by a Shoplifting Criminal after expressing concern for his own SAFETY LAST YEAR! Abdul Saleh, 28, and the owner of Sal’s Deli & Grocery on the corner of Avenue B and E. 13th St in the East Village, got into an altercation with another 28 year old after the suspect didn't pay for a bottle of water. The altercation spilled out onto the street, where the suspect opened fire on Mr. Saleh directly in his Torso. The suspect was also hit by reportedly a "ricocheting bullet" The alleged shooter is a gang member who in 2016 was one of 120 Bronx gang members busted by the feds in what was then the biggest gang takedown in New York City history. “People get shot, killed,” Abdul Saleh told ABC7 New York last May, when then-Mayor Adams announced a plan to provide panic buttons for 500 bodegas and delis. “Sometimes you get robbed and the police never respond quick, come three or four hours late.” Mr. Saleh knew that he was, essentially, a sitting duck. With the way CRIME is handled (or NOT handled) in New York City, it was only a MATTER OF TIME before something HORRIBLE happened. Mr. Saleh applied for a "Panic button" with the city of New York, trusting his SAFETY with the city. Unfortunately, NYC BETRAYED his trust, as they installed 450 of them, but not his.
