Much like Italian dishes, which are often made from the same ingredients but folded into different shapes and called something different, so too are Congressional Democrats’ efforts at gun control. The newest lasagna is to package gun violence as a “public health crisis.”

The Bruen ruling, handed down in June 2022, keeps the wins coming. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals enjoined a Maryland handgun licensing scheme from being enforced. While this decision is currently only binding on the fourth circuit, it has potential for much wider reaching implications in other circuits.

Executive Order 2023-130, which dropped on Sept. 7, attempts to halt federal Constitutional rights under the guise of “public health emergency”. Will Sheriffs enforce it? Will the people obey it?

The Biden Administration and the ATF don’t seem to be absorbing the lesson judges around the country keep teaching them. They keep writing new “rules” which simply amount to legislation without the approval of Congress.

US Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito temporarily stayed the ruling that put the ATF’s Frames & Receivers rule on hold. Parties will have a chance to respond against or in support of the rule.

The ATF loses again! The US Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit just denied the government’s request for a stay on their recent loss in the “Frames and Receivers” case.
