Local firearms retailer and training center, Modern Warriors, is hosting a public Wilson Combat Range Day event in Nashville (where News2A has an office). The event is open to the public and designed to provide visitors access to Wilson Combat’s new product line. A special donation-based sweepstakes event will generate proceeds directly towards the SEALS Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the families of Navy SEALs who have been wounded, killed, or are in need.
“It’s no secret we’re huge fans of Wilson Combat. We’ve been their top dealer for the last five years for a reason. Any time we put together a big event, we work to use this as an opportunity to give back to the men and women who serve and protect us,” said Todd Vowell, owner of Modern Warriors.
“I called up the authors of Sons of Valor, who inspired Wilson’s newest rifle, and they felt that the SEAL Legacy Foundation would be a perfect fit. I got on the phone with one of the directors and was impressed by their dedication to supporting Navy SEAL Veterans with their various programs and resources. That phone call sealed the deal, and we’re looking forward to raising support for this incredible foundation,” Vowell added.
The range event takes place from 12-4 p.m. on October 25, at Modern Warriors’ newly renovated and state-of-the-art facility at 4290 Kenilworth Drive in Nashville.
Attendees will have the opportunity to handle and shoot Wilson Combat’s latest lineup (including their all-new Sons of Valor rifle), and representatives from Wilson Combat will be on-site to showcase additional products and answer questions.
Modern Warriors is making the event as accessible as possible, by sponsoring range time and firearm rentals for free – attendees only pay for the ammo they use.
Guests can also participate in the donation-based Protector Sweepstakes event by purchasing reasonably-priced entries to win Wilson Combat’s Protector Rifle package. Each $10 donation will provide one entry. The winner will be announced on Monday, October 27. Donations are sent directly to the SEAL Legacy Foundation, with Modern Warriors and Wilson Combat stepping up to match a percentage of all donations when donors share their confirmation receipt by forwarding it to [email protected].
Winners of the “Protector Package” will receive a loaded prize bundle headlined by a Trijicon Ascent 1-4×24 riflescope, RPM Bravo Series cantilever mount, Surefire M340DF Turbo Mini Scout Pro light, Edgar Sherman Design padded sling, Savior Equipment specialist rifle case, and Crackshot Preparedness ITK kit.
